A resource for non-birthing parents.

What Famally is

Famally is a space for people who become parents without giving birth.

Most parenting spaces cover pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Those experiences matter deeply. They deserve care and respect. But many of us step into parenthood through adoption, surrogacy, donor conception, or as the partner of someone who is pregnant, and those parenting spaces don’t fit the journey.

Famally exists to change that.

We are building a trusted resource guide, thoughtful education, and a future community and app that support families forming in ways that are often treated as side paths. Here, those paths are centered.

Whether you are just beginning to explore your options, deep in paperwork and waiting, or navigating life after placement or birth, Famally is designed to meet you where you are.

The Paths of Famally

  • Adoption is emotional, paperwork-heavy, and filled with waiting and uncertainty while navigating home studies, profiles, agency relationships, legal steps, and often a relationship with a child’s birth family. Questions about ethics, communication, preparation, and what happens after placement are never addresses by most parenting resources.

Famally helps adoptive parents understand what to expect at every stage and connects them with experienced, ethical providers who understand open adoption, birth family relationships, and the realities of this path.

  • Foster parenting asks families to step into uncertainty with enormous compassion. There are state systems, trainings, case workers, court dates, reunification goals, and the emotional complexity of caring for children whose futures may not be fully known.

Famally offers guidance and resources for foster parents and those pursuing foster to adopt, helping them find support from providers who understand trauma-informed care, system navigation, and the emotional weight of this role.

  • Surrogacy involves medical systems, legal agreements, financial planning, and a deeply personal relationship between intended parents and a gestational carrier. Intended parents often spend months or years navigating contracts, clinics, matching, and preparation while trying to feel connected to a pregnancy they are not physically experiencing.

Famally provides guidance for what happens before, during, and after the process and connects families with providers who understand how to support intended parents with care and respect.

  • Families formed through egg, sperm, or embryo donation navigate unique questions about genetics, identity, disclosure, and future conversations with their child. There are medical, legal, and emotional layers that are rarely addressed in traditional parenting spaces.

Famally helps parents prepare for these conversations and find professionals experienced in supporting donor-conceived families with openness and sensitivity.

  • Partner of a Birthing Parent

Many non-birthing parents walk alongside a pregnancy feeling unsure how to participate, how to prepare, and how to feel included in a journey centered on someone else’s body. Traditional pregnancy apps and parenting spaces rarely speak to this role.

Famally offers support, prompts, and resources specifically for partners so they can feel informed, involved, and prepared as their family grows.
